One For Sorrow - Magpie Spin Ring

An ode to my late father, the originator of the Spin Ring in the mid-90's.
The spinner is hand cut out of sheet Silver before being soldered round and added to the centre of the ring. I added additional stars to separate the words.
A quick mock-up of the size and gauge of the finished piece to ensure the spinner will fit correctly.
To stop the solder from flowing where you don't want it to, I cover the area in correction fluid or powdered rouge to act as a contaminant. This also works as a heat-barrier too! Simply wash it off after you have finished soldering.
